DFS presents in collaboration with FreedomLab:

Futurist Gerd Leonhard – The next 10 years of technology and humanity

Gerd Leonhard is a renowned keynote speaker on the future of technology. He is a futurist, author, strategist and CEO of The Futures Agency.

The Dutch Future Society is honored that Gerd is willing to share his ideas and insights on the future of humanity with its members. He will provide a keynote to open the new year of 2018 with us.

DFS organizes this event in collaboration with FreedomLab. FreedomLab is an institute for redefinition: a crossover between innovation hub, living lab, futures think tank and academy located in Amsterdam.

During the event, Gerd Leonhard will give a keynote focusing on his latest book: Technology vs. Humanity. In this video summary he explains the main topics of the book himself:

The keynote will be followed by a discussion with some of the expert thinkers from the FreedomLab team and DFS-members (including myself, Yfke Laanstra).

Gerd provided this quote for my book 'Bits, Bytes & Bewustzijn':

'This is an important book that examines the technological warp drive we are finding ourselves in, today. Big tech is getting very good at simulating a kind of hedonistic happiness, and Yfke shows how we can refocus on the deeper forms of happiness that involve empathy, compassion and consciousness.

After all, human happiness and flourishing is and should remain the primary purpose of all technology'
